Dubai, UAE: 6 February, 2012 - Dubai Properties Group, a member of Dubai Holding, kicked off the year by spreading fun in its communities via a series of dedicated Children’s Festivals designed to provide convenient and fun family entertainment for children and adults of all ages. Following the successful series of Children’s Festivals which took place in 2011, DPG extended this year’s festivities to include Layan in Dubailand, Ghoroob and Shorooq in Mirdiff, with events taking place throughout the month of January 2012.

In the Ghoroob community, located in Mirdiff, over 300 residents turned up to enjoy the many activities organized throughout the day, taking place in the communal area. A variety of games targeting children of all ages were set up including inflatable slides and rides, magic shows, pony rides, face painting and numerous other games. Over 800 visitors attended this year’s Children’s Festivals in the two different DPG communities Layan and Ghoroob. The Children’s Festivals provided an opportunity for families across the communities to enjoy outdoor activities with their friends and neighbours, free of charge.

Sahar Al Ansari, Director of Real Estate Management at Dubai Properties Group said: “When we launched the Children’s Festivals in our communities in 2011, we had overwhelming response from residents, so it made sense to extend this to our other communities this year. Our aim is to create a fun-filled day for families to enjoy their time together, and we are pleased to see that so many residents showed up to take part in the games and activities provided for them. We hope to extend these activities to additional communities in the years to come and most importantly, we hope this will encourage families to spend more time and enjoy simple outdoor activities together.”

This is the second consecutive year that Dubai Properties Group has organized the Children’s Festivals.
